Connections
Getting to and around Emilia Romagna is easy: the region, thanks to its geographic location, is easily accessible from all of the major roads, highways and train lines in Italy. Moreover, it also has four airports and numerous well-equipped ports.

By car
Motorway A1 Milan-Naples links the region to important motorway junctions: in Parma with the A15 from La Spezia, in Modena with the A22 from Brenner Pass, in Bologna with A13 from Padua-Venice and the A14 Bologna-Bari. Easy links also to the S.S. 309 Venice-Mestre and the Clearway E 45 Rome - Ravenna.
By train
The Italian railway allows express connections to Northern, Central and Southern Italy. The Alta Velocità (High-Speed) train connects Bologna to Milan and Florence-Rome-Naples. From Europe you can reach Emilia Romagna from the Tarvisio, Brenner, Gotthard and Simplon passes. In the region, more railway services are available thanks to the Ferrovie Emilia Romagna.
By plane
The airports of Parma, Bologna, Forlì and Rimini connect the region with the most important Italian and European cities with scheduled and charter flights. Starting every May 1st, a shuttle bus connects the Forlì Airport to the main tourist destinations along the Adriatic Riviera.
By bus
