Pratizzano (RE)

The center for cross-country skiing in Pratizzano (Municipality of Ramiseto) is located inside the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park, between Ventasso Mountain and the Succiso Alps, tucked away on a natural prairie, a lovely summer pasture home to 18 km of cross-country trails in winter.

The plains of Pratizzano offer trails for every level, easy for beginners and novices and medium to difficult for experts.  Snow allowing, another trail will be set up connecting Pratizzano with the town of Succiso, for a total of 20 more kilometers along the very panoramic street "la Scalucchia", from which you can see the whole Secchia Valley and the Reggio Emilia Apennines up to Cimone. 

At the entrance to the trails, the Pratizzano Lodge is open and offers ski rentals, snowshoes and other equipment, a restaurant with typical local food, a bar, and four rooms with a bathroom which sleep a total of 16 people.

It is also possible to book (cell. 347-8869112) lessons with ski instructors with the Bismantova Ski Club or guided excursions with the GAE tour guides, in collaboration with the "Altri Passi" Association (expert guides).
