Traditional Balsamic Vinegar

This excellent product represents the history, the culture and the culinary tradition of the Este duchy’s ancient territories, that is to say the current Provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia. In fact its existence is due to the particular climate of this territory, as well as the succession of historical events that concerned it.

Acetaia Venturini Baldini

In the Roman times, the area was already well known for its wine business. It is the cooked grape must, from which the balsamic vinegar is obtained through a long fermentation and aging process, that gives the product its typical aroma.

Considered as part of the family property, it was once a good custom to enrich the dowry of the noble women who were getting married with fine balsamic vinegar jars and sets of small bottles with valuable content. Worthy gift of kings and princes since the Renaissance, the Este fir-wood balsamic vinegar was renowned among European aristocracies.

It was stored in attics and lovingly tended by many generations, besides being estimated as a panacea for all illnesses.
