From 10 October to 10 January, the MAR − Ravenna Art Museum will present the solo exhibition Studio Luce dedicated to the great fashion photographer Paolo Roversi.
Born in Ravenna, Roversi is one of the most famous and successful photographers in the world. On this occasion, his solo exhibition will display unpublished memories and images that come directly from his archive and that explain his emotional relationship with his hometown, along with a special section dedicated to the work carried out for the 2020 Pirelli Calendar.
Timeless women and mysterious creatures awaken something romantic and disrupting at the same time, in the balance between desire and discovery.
Roversi creates by removing, attracting and capturing the gaze, not just on the surface but leading it to dig deeper and see beyond.
A very well-known portraitist for his intimate nature and classical language, Roversi took photos of the most famous runway models and movie stars. His pictures were published in international magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Vanity Fair. Furthermore, he collaborated with the greatest fashion houses, making photos for brands like Comme des Garçons, Dior, Armani and Chanel.
