Fashion lives twice – 26th edition

Forlì Exibition Center - Via Punta di Ferro

Forlì (FC)

“Vintage-fever” has spread throughout society, cinema, literature, TV, technology, food, arts, fashion, and travel. Even the market has been somehow affected, and needs new space to meet the soaring demand. “Vintage! Fashion lives twice” is the answer.

For years, this event has been attracting enthusiastic and dedicated visitors, collectors, fashion operators and stylists searching for unique products to propose to the public again, by combining tradition and new proposals.

“Vintage! Fashion lives twice” tells about the years from the ‘20s to the ‘80s through fashion, modern items, collectables, perfumes, tailored clothing, and design items, the objects used back at that time, how they were abandoned, and then reused, kept and sold, with special attention given to the vintage market, which has been growing over time, as well as to collecting.

The event in Forlì tells about this “piece” of history through the lifestyle, fashion and habits of that era. Moreover, it is the first market-exhibition in Italy for number of visitors and the third for “seniority”, attracting on average approx. 15,000 visitors at every edition.

The exhibition is divided into the following sections: Vintage, Remake, Collecting and Modern Items & Design.

Date: the event will be held on Oct 26, 2018, Oct 27, 2018, Oct 28, 2018

Event timetable: Friday 2.00pm-8.00pm; Saturday and Sunday 10.00am-8.00pm

It is the main area dedicated to clothes and accessories of the twentieth century. These heirlooms, defined as vintage, are still considered as objects of worship that have marked an era and which have remained in our collective memory also thanks to their superior quality and the possibility that they offer today of creating a very personalized, sophisticated and lively style.

Vintage is not only a synonym for the past or nostalgia for times gone by, but also a new way to look at the future: creative tailor’s shops, small crafts businesses and designers will use this area to sell their creations, which are the result of the re-elaboration of old or unused materials, be it fabrics, wood, wool, wall paper or PVC. Everything can have a new life and generate new forms of art.

Dedicated to the objects of our memory and to the curiosities of the past: small antiquarians and collectors display vinyl pieces, vintage tin objects, vintage toys, collector perfumes, radios, TVs, comics, books, etc. for a step back in time as if we were walking around in a flea market.

Area dedicated to 20th century design and modern items, with the aim of representing fashion as a style and trend in interior design. Italian creativeness marked the history of design throughout the 20th century, anticipating tastes and trends, and making Italy a world leader in the sector.
Design contributed to the openness towards modernity: the objects created at that time, thanks to the talent of designers sensitive to the arts, entered industrial production and became part of families’ daily life.
