In the direction towards Borgotaro, after 5 km from the town of Solignano, a valley rises along Mozzola stream: Valmozzola. The Municipality in Mormorola is 565 meters away.
From the peaks of Barigazzo and La Tagliata mountains, to the bank of the Taro river, the Mozzola valley passes through small hamlets and offers important naturalistic scenarios, among which the 13th century Rocca di Gusaliggio, overlooking the stream, deserves a mention.
In Mormorola there is the small Museum of the Resistance.
In the beautiful valley there are several paths including 803, 811 and 811c, with CAI trail markers, as well as from the Val Ceno Ring (AVC). Mount Barigazzo which rises up to 1284 meters is a destination for suggestive excursions.
From Valmozzola you can visit Bardi with a beautiful castle , Berceto and Borgo Val di Taro famous as a summer resort and for its Mushroom Fair. From these villages there are suggestive paths.
